PT BINA INSAN SEJAHTERA MANDIRI (BISMA) that works with local and international microfinance stakeholders is presently seeking staff to support microfinance program in Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam Province .

About the Program

BISMA, is mandated by CARE International Indonesia to implement micro credit development program to strengthen Microfinance Insititutions (MFI) in Nangaroe Aceh Darussalam (NAD), West Java, Banten and South Sulawesi provinces.

The program in NAD province now is almost completed and now is under the transition period to focus on technical service market and pilot new projects.

The vacant position is as follows:

TECHNICAL PARTNERSHIP OFFICER (TP-O)

Job Purpose:

The Technical Partnership Officer mainly contributes in evaluating eligible MFIs for partnering in technical services, ensuring the fulfillment of MFI partners to the agreed commitment, monitoring the impact and technical service to MFI and Micro borrowers and assisting Technical & Investment Manager in promoting technical service to MFIs and/or other stakeholders. A successful candidate will be a quick, positive thinking, problem solver who can work with diverse stakeholders.
The Technical Partnership Officer reports to Technical & Investment Manager. The position is based in Banda Aceh;

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing organizational structure and financial performance of Microfinance Institutions (MFIs);
• Identifying the capacity building needs of MFIs;
• Working with Manager in developing report (English) for getting approval to deliver technical service to MFIs;
• Conducting necessary preparation to execute technical service to MFI in order to increase technical capacity of MFIs (including developing module);
• Delivering technical assistance to MFIs under the program methodology stipulated by BISMA
• Mentoring the progress of MFI partners development (technical and financial aspects)
• Assisting Manager in monitoring the program delivery and impact to MFIs partner
• Maintain petty cash and simple bookkeeping (including reporting), secure availability of office supplies and stationeries;
• Handle administrative & general affairs including, but not limited to, handle incoming and outgoing fax, telephone, mail & postage, employee attendance record and procurement activities;
• Assist administrative aspects of fund placement activity to Micro Finance Institutions (MFIs) such as: scheduling field visit, collecting required documentation and/or data, visiting beneficiaries (MFIs and micro borrowers) and preparing beneficiaries report (in coordination with Data Base Analyst);


SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• A minimum of university degree majoring in Accountancy or Economic Management;
• Advanced written and oral communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia;
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in working with NGO or banking sector preferably in accounting, financial analyzing or credit analyzing;
• Highly organized, efficient and ability to follow up on tasks and focus on priorities.
• Ability to complete given assignments accurately with minimum supervision.
• Ability to work under pressure and to deal patiently and tactfully with other staff members.
• High sense of personal integrity, discretion, initiative and judgment.
• Advanced computer skills in MS Word, Excel and Power Point
• Having experience in lecturing or providing training under adult methodology is preferable;


Terms of offer:
• Time of employment is 12 (twelve) months (April 2009 to March 2010)
